For the production of these skulls, originals are scanned in high resolution and then printed using a 3D printing process. In this way we can ensure that even the finest details and surface structures are retained. The skull and lower jaw are each processed and manufactured separately.

Legal originals are available for the reproduction, together with the corresponding documentation in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 338/97 of the Council and Regulation (EC) No. 865/2005 of the Commission on the protection of specimens of wild fauna and flora through surveillance of the trade.

PLA (polylactic acid) is used as the material. This is a so-called bio-plastic which is produced from renewable raw materials. Further information (food safety, material safety data sheet) can be found on the following page.
