Heinkel P.1080 model kit scale 1:48 or 1:72
The Heinkel P.1080 was a radical design for a ramjet-powered fighter conceived at the very end of World War II. This German project, part of a larger effort to produce new jet and rocket fighters, never advanced beyond the drawing board. The P.1080 aimed for high performance with a tailless design and swept wings. Two ramjet engines mounted on the fuselage sides would have provided thrust. Solid-fuel rockets were still planned to assist with takeoff due to the limitations of ramjets at low speeds. Armed with cannons, it was envisioned as a high-altitude interceptor. The war's end however, stopped development of this ambitious and untested design.
Including vacuum molded clear canopy.
We have deliberately chosen the FDM process to produce our models. For optimal results, the models are printed at high resolution with custom developed print profiles. This enables us to use bio- degradable materials with minimal waste and no involvement of toxic chemicals. A certain surface roughness is however inevitable. If desired, light sanding will help to improve surface finish.
For gluing, cyanoacrylate glue works well (not included).
